Bio

Stacy is a Registered Nurse of over 25 years, graduating from Marquette University with honors and a commission in the United States Navy. She was a proud member of the Navy Nurse Corps for over 4 years. After her time on active duty, Stacy obtained her Master’s in Nursing Education from Villanova University. Stacy has worked primary in the perinatal area, in both high-risk units and in a free-standing birth center, and taught in the clinical setting and the classroom at the University level. She was even deployed to Kuwait in support of the Marines with a Fleet Surgical Support Group during Operation Iraqi Freedom (that was the first time she had ever taken care of an adult male in her nursing practice!)

After having her first child, she became a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and supported mamas in a different way through education, hands-on care in her private practice, and a weekly breastfeeding support group. With the birth of her son and impending moves due to her husband’s military career, she shifted her efforts homeward and hung up her professional nursing hat in lieu of homeschooling her children. Who knew she’d end up homeschooling herself, too? This time lead her to learning about low tox living, and growing health concerns had her researching solutions to help herself.

Stacy found functional medicine after many frustrations in working with the traditional medical model that was failing her. Understanding and addressing the root cause of an issue is everything! Nutrition, movement, stress-management, sleep, self-care – lifestyle matters. It all starts with a simple choice, do you want to be made well?

This experience has fueled her fire to help others optimize their health and wellness so they can live their best lives to the full. Stacy most recently became board certified as a Functional Medicine Practitioner and a Functional Nurse Health Coach. She also has training in homeopathy as a complement to her practice.

Stacy put a lot of effort into her own journey. Studying and advocacy for herself as she navigated through her own health issues. Digging a little deeper to uncover more than what most providers were willing to give. Learning ingredients, searching for safe products/supplements, and rediscovering natural health and wholistic wellness as she walked her own path. Unlearning what she thought was true, and opening herself up to new ideas.

A very personal journey, yes, but one that is SO common. Along the way, she meets many people who feel lost, confused, and overwhelmed. And she knows from experience that if you can’t navigate through the inundation of information, paralysis ensues and no positive changes are made.

Stacy would love to walk beside you and help you navigate your wellness journey! She is a friendly voice, advocate, hype girl, professional hand holder, and big squishy hugger offering her guidance, functional testing, and practitioner toolkit so you can empower yourself to take action. Are you ready to take charge of your health?

Stacy has been married for 23 years and has two children who she continues to homeschool, and 2 dogs who are lucky they are cute. Her faith is central in her life, and she is an active member of the parish she belongs to, volunteering, working with youth, and running bible studies. In her free time, Stacy enjoys gathering with family and friends, being social, reading, researching healthy options, and soaking up the Florida sunshine.
