At Coastal Heath Institute, Dr. Joe Bhagratie, a board-certified primary care sports medicine physician, brings experience and dedication to our sports medicine practice. A native of Queens, New York, Dr. Bhagratie considers Florida his home, having spent his formative years in Orlando. He earned his Micro and Molecular Biology degree from the University of Central Florida, followed by a Master’s degree from Barry University, a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern College of Medicine, and completed his residency and fellowship training here in Jacksonville with St. Vincent’s Family Medicine and Sports Medicines programs.

As a Ringside certified physician in Florida, affiliated with USA Boxing, Dr. Bhagratie specializes in offering top-tier care to combat athletes, showcasing his commitment to athletes’ well-being in intense sports. His extensive involvement with Ironman Gulf Coast Triathlons and previous work with the University of North Florida Division I athletics program, as well as the Jacksonville Icemen, further demonstrates his passion for providing exceptional care across various levels.

Dr. Bhagratie practices osteopathic manipulative medicine, bringing a holistic approach to patient care. This approach, combined with his expertise, allows him to offer advanced non-operative treatments tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Beyond the professional realm, Dr. Bhagratie is an explorer of Jacksonville, a dedicated practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and actively engaged in diverse sports, including basketball and F45 fitness training.
